Help keep Southdale connected!
The Southdale Residents Group is looking for a volunteer to join our Board of Directors as Communications Director.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys social media, writing, and connecting with the community. The Communications Director will help keep residents informed about local issues, community events, initiatives and everything happening in Southdale.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and update the Southdale Residents Group website
- Create and schedule social media posts for our Facebook and Instagram pages
- Respond to messages and emails sent to the group
- Work with the Board to share timely community updates
- Help maintain a consistent and community-minded voice across our communications
- Attend monthly Board meetings and participate in community events
Time commitment: Approximately 2–4 hours per month, with some additional time around major events or initiatives.
No previous Board experience is required — just a willingness to get involved and help keep our community connected.
You MUST live within the boundaries of Southdale. The neighbourhood’s borders are the Seine River to the West, Fermor Avenue to the North, Lagimodiere Boulevard to the East, and Abinojii Mikanah (formerly Bishop Grandin Boulevard) to the South.
Interested? We’d love to hear from you! Please email southdalechair@gmail.com to learn more about the role or express your interest in volunteering.
Deadline to apply: November 1, 2026
