Chair – Kevin Dickson
I am a recently retired Professional Engineer, and have lived here in Southdale since 1968, currently 2nd and 3rdgenerations.
It surprised me that a community of this maturity did not have a Residents Group. After several months I am happy to say we now have a proper Board in place! Our community has missed out on many opportunities in the forms of grants (Civil, Provincial, and Federal).
We have a beautiful community, and it is our goal to work with the residents and businesses of Southdale to continue to keep it that way.

Vice Chair – Karine Drobko
Allo!
My name is Karine Drobko, and I am vice-chair with the Southdale Residents Group.
Some things you should know about me:
I’ve been resident of Southdale for 31 years.
I’ve been a public servant for 17 years.
I am francophone.
I joined the Southdale Residents Group because I truly love our little slice of the Peg. We have such a wonderful community and neighbourhood

Treasurer – Tom McCarthy
Newfie by birth, Flatlander by choice, I’ve lived in Southdale for 10+ years with my family of 5. I moved from Newfoundland 30 years ago, working with First Nations and moved into the housing field for the past 20+ years, most recently in policy at the Federal level.
Like our chair, I was surprised when I learned about the formation of the Residents Group through social media and before I knew it, I was treasurer like I’ve done elsewhere. It is daunting to start from the ground up but we have an amazing group of like-minded volunteers and there’s so much to come.

Member-at-Large – Salem Woodrow
Salem Woodrow grew up in Winnipeg, living in Southdale. After university she moved to Calgary, where she lived for seven years, returning to Winnipeg in 2018. She and her young family moved to Southdale in 2022.
Salem enjoys playing sports and being outdoors. You can usually catch her walking or running around Southdale while her daughter rollerblades or rides her bike.

Member-at-Large – Brie Hirshberg
Hi! I’m Brie. After spending most of my life in Ontario my husband and I moved to Winnipeg in 2016 and to Southdale in 2019. I love the sense of community for our family of five and especially love all the ponds and big trees in our neighbourhood. I am currently the baseball convenor for Southdale and I am looking forward to supporting the Residents’ association.

Member-at-Large – Jeremie Robin
Franco-Metis born and raised in St. Boniface, living in Southdale since 2007. I am proud to be raising my bi-lingual daughter and son in the neighborhood.
You may find me around walking with my wife and two little Yorkies or sitting in the back yard enjoying a whiskey and an occasional cigar or a fire down by the pond.
I’ve been keen on getting on a board of some kind to see how they operate and get some experience doing so before eventually potentially turning it into a retirement hobby.
My main goal is to contribute to maintaining and improving beautiful neighborhood I’ve been living in for almost 20 years. All while getting to know others from area as well as keeping the area as safe for our families.
